Collocation in English falls into a number of different categories. In this article, I should like to draw a distinction between 'ordinary' collocations and those that are so fixed that they can be called idioms. Although my main focus is on 'ordinary' collocations, I shall also to some extent take idioms into consideration too. I plan to raise a number of questions about learning collocations in a foreign or second language. I shall attempt to answer these questions by makes reference to work of the leading writers in the field. My intention is to make a strong case for a more intensive focus on collocation in the language learning process. I shall also touch on issues such as pronunciation.

Reading Book "RIO"

Good Day Friends..

Today I learn read a book titled "Rio with subtitle Blu and Jewel "
This book publish by "A Twentieth Century Fox Film"

In this book tell about bird called Blu and Jewel (who is a blue Spix's Macaw). They meet in Rio and on one night they are caught by Marcel with white bird and put they into small cage with chain in their legs because Jewel try to escape when cage would be closed.

After Marcel and Nigel (white bird) went out, Blu opened the cage door, suddenly Jewel flies out from the cage with chain in their legs. After that they falling down because Blu can't fly.

In the rain-forest They meet with Rafael. Rafael thought they will gone to carnival and invite them to meet Luiz Rafael's friend to release their chain and go together to carnival.

After release chain in their legs, Blu have planning to going back at home but unfortunately for Jewel she caught again by Nigel and bring Jewel to Carnival. Knowing Jewel was captured by Nigel Blu decided to help him with the help of Luiz.

When Blu looking for Jewel suddenly Nigel also capture Blu and put Blu into cage together with Jewel after that Marcel put the cage in the plane. Once again Blu open the cage door and Jewel ready to flies out but Nigel hurts her. Jewel injured finally can't fly and falls out from the plane and Blu try help Jewel and suddenly Blu can fly and caught Jewel.

First day academic writing

Good morning

I am Anwar and today is my first day for academic writing intensive class in Kumamoto University. I hope after follow this class my ability in academic writing would increase, although class held on 5 days.
